The bed is gorgeous. It is solid hardwood throughout, including the slats that hold the mattress and the white glove delivery and set up guys were awesome. The wood has a nice, soft, dimpled distressed feel, almost like a hand scraped hardwood floor. Each side table, which attaches to the bed, has a drawer. I also purchased the dresser. I would absolutely buy this set again. And I would recommend this bed to my enemies to rack up better karma.
